Australian Navigation Bill.
MELBOURNE, February 19. Mr Deakin is at a loss to understand the British Attorney-General's views on shipping legislation. Assuming that he refers to. the coastal clauses of the Navigation Bill, it was curious that when the Navigation Conference was sitting in London the British shipowners raised no auch objection.
FREMANTLE, February 19. Flag Lieutenant Fisher, of Admiral Poore's staff, contracted a mild attack of smallpox after leaving Maißeilles. He was landed at Port Said. There are no further cases and the vessel was pratiqued.
