Mr H. H. Purton, barrister and solicitor of Invercargill, has accepted the position of Stependiary Magistrate at Oama^u. He hoMs an L.L."B. degree. He served with Allan and Holmes, of Dimedin, and •was for some yeare manager for Mr J. F. M. Fras^r.
