Tn our advertising columns a special general meeting oi the above club is called for 8 o'clock to-morrow evening. The Rev. Edgar Ward will preside. A large attendance of members and intending members is requested, as business of great impoitance requires discussion. The Hiief business is as follows: — (1) Election oi librarian, new members. Press rcpoiter, torn ney* and billiard committees, members in charge, two members to executive committee, caretaker; (2) discussion of the proposel bazaar and fancy fair; (3) airanging committees, etc., for annual social and dance; (4) to decide whether the club's gymnasium be revived or not ; (5) general discussion on the position of the club. Mr and Mrs L. F. Stephens, the American evangelists, who have conducted very successful missions in the United States, and more recently in Wellington, are expected to arrive in Wanganui this week, aud on Sunday next they commence a series of revival meetings, at the Church of Christ (Mathiesmi Street), which will probably c-xtend over several weeks.
