WEDDING BELLS.

A very prelty wedding was originated at St. John's, llataruwa, on Saturday, the. Bth inst. The contracting parties were Mr Walter Henry liooth, youngest son of the late Mr Booth, for many ypars R.M. of the Wanganui Native district, aud Mi6B Floeaie Gertrude. Men/.iee, eldest daughter of Mr Edward Menzies, of Matarawa. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked rery pretty in a cream silk Toile. She also woie a handsome wreath of real orange blossoms, und bridal veil, and carried a choice bouquet of white flowers. She waa attended by her two siaters, Daisy and Lena, aa bridesmaids.' They were attired )m pink silk muslin, with white hate, trimmed with chiffon and ostrich feathers, and wore gold brooches, the gift of the bridegroom. Mr Southey Menzies, brother of tho bride, acted as best man. The ceremony was solemnised by the Vicar, the llev. 11. J. Dcane, and Miss McWilliam played the Wedding March ob the party lett* the church, which was very nicely decorated by the Matarawa Church choir, of which the bride had long been a member. After the ceremony the gueeta adjourned to the Matarawa school, where they were entertained by the bride's parents. Tlie bride and bridegioom left by the 3.20 train for Feildiug, where they will spend the honeymoon. The bride's going-away dresft waa" a blue tailor-made coat and •skirt, with hat to matoh. Amongst iho uuesis present were Mr and Mrs Hector Dooth, Mr and Mm Dah*. Mrs Richardson, and Mn LysiJJ, relative* of the bndeHioom, and * large number ot local iiiends.
