NOSE BITING.

The Dunedin Sensation. Defendant Pleads Guilty.

Thomas McKay appealed at the Dunedin Poilce Court on Fnda\ morning to answer a chaige of having assaulted K!i?a Mary Hall and causing her actually b'iciih hrii'ili. Mr Graham was on thp Bench. Sub-Inspector Norwood prosecut cd and I\ir Scurr defended. \)r Falconer (house surgeon at the Oimcdio Hospital) said: 1 oxanimed Eliza Mary Hall at the Hospital on Ma\ 2";t!i. She *as suffering from a wound <..m-cd b\ a bite; about half an inch of the tissue oi ihe nose on the right side anc' point v. ere missing. Those injuries will result in permanent disfigurement. The bite had taken "the tissue clean off .md enlarged the nostnl. A plastic op- < lotion will considerably minimise the proem disfigurement, but there will be considerable disfigLuement even then. MISS HULL'S EVIDENCE.
