INSURANCE COMPANIES AND INCOME TAX.
(Per United Press Association). Received June 11, 10.30 a.m. ADELAIDE, June 11. The case against the A.M. P. Society, which made no income ta xreturn in 1902, on the ground that the law exempted Mutual Life Assurance Companies, was argued before the Supreme Court. The Court found that the Society had, in South Australia, an income of .£28,562 which was taxable.
