Mr I'alnicr. the Wellington «ecrctaiy, will be present to explain the objects of the League, also to hhow aome excellent views. Other gentlemen have promised to address the meeting. The Garrison Band, with its usual kindliness, has promised its support. Besides which, songs and recitations will enliven the evening. As we have pointed out previously, tfe League is strong in many towns in the colony, and it is desired that Wanganui *ball not be behind. At the close of the meeting an opportunity will be offorded tor enrolling members, aud it is hoped a strong branch will be formed, more particularly of the younger^ members ot the community, because to them must necessarily fall the protection of their country. To this end a strong branch is compulsory, and it is the imperative duty of all to take an interest in it. Those joining (he League assist the cause materially, (formally hn^ a Navy League of over one million member* and Biitishora should not he loss patriotic. Admission to the meeting vail he free. 6
