The Nautical Court 'h decision in the collißioH between the Ik»toinahana and Ke«trel absolved the Kestrel from blame and ordered the Rotoma liana to pay the costs. In the collision between the .steamer Kanirri and the ketch Dawn, the Court apportion* the costs three-quarters to be paid by the Dawn and one-fourth to bo paid by the Kanicri. The Court did not deal' with the officers certificates, these being the first cases in which the harbour regulations have been brought in question. The. Court expressed the opinion that 1»rlide 25 of the collision regulations, relating to narrow channels, applied to the Auckland Harbour entrance only.
