A HASTINGS DEAL.

(Per United Press Association. ) HASTINGS. June 8. Yesterday a local byudicdte purchased a block of sections in tho business part ot the town, with a froutage to the main street and two side streets, trom Mr W. A. Beccroft, for .£25,000. The block is now occupied by shops and 6torca, but the syndicate proposes to have these pulled down and to erect an arca-de of shops in brick or ferro concrete. The buildings will include 50 shops and offices, and it is stated that an up-to-date theatie will also iorra part oi' the block. The transaction is tho bigge&t in town sections in the hictory oi Ha-tings.
