CRUELTY TO ANIMALS.
(Per United Press Association.) PAHIATUA, April 19. At a sitting ot the S.M. Court yesterday Joseph Ryan was sentenced to two months imprisonment with hard labour for cruelty to a horse. The Magistrate said it was one of the worst cases of cruelty that had come under his notice.
