H. S. G. HARPER, Auctioneer. AS illustrating the great success attending the stock by the imported Clydesdale Stallion , "BANCOR" ia South Island Show-rings, it may be mentioned that at the last Gore Show a yearling filly by Lissi, named Queen O'Kyle, secured Ist prize. At the Southland Show she also obtained Ist in an exceptionally strong class of 10, while another filly by Bancor gained 3rd. These fillies were bred by Mr. Walter .Blakie, of Royal Bush. Queen O'Kyle also won the special prize for the best yearling filly or colt by an imported aire, in which class Baacor also sired the filly placed 2nd. In the class for three yearlings by the same aire, Mr. Drain's two colts and a filly, by Bancor, were a good trio, and won the award, beating four other giood teams f|om BJakie's, Evans', Clark's, and Ryan's Studs. The above successes having been achieved at the Southland Show is a great feather in Bancor's cap, as it is recognised as the best Show for draught stock in the colony* BANCOR is now standing at Kai Iwi, _ and since his arrival in this island has taken Ist and champion at Palmerston, JT*wera, and Taranaki Showa.
