At Palmerston on Thursday another large yarding of catt!e came forward, af d it was a difficult matter to- find sufficient accommodation. Very few outside buyers were present, and for a number of lines of 2 to 3-year steers bidding was slack. Other sorts maintained recent prices. Very few grown bullocks were yarded. Sheep as usual sold readily at good prices. Quotations: 2-tooths 14s, 14s 9d, 15s 6d, forward wethers 15s Bd, lambs 8s 7d, «wes with small lambs 129, 3 and 4year bullocks £5 to £5 8s 6d, 3-year steers to £3 9s 6d, 18-month steers £2 5s to £2 Bs, 18-month heifers 30s- to 365, yearling heifers 23s to 27a 6d, forward cows 27 s. 6d to JE2 sa.
