Avenging a Sister 's Honour.
NEW YORK, December 19. Two brothers named Strother warned Bywaters, a wealthy Virginian landowner, that they intended to kill him for wronging their sister. They fetched a clergyman and compelled Bywaters, under the muzzles of their pistols, to marry her as she was lying sick in bed. Bywaters, after the ceremony, escaped through a window, but the Strothers shot him dead.
