INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION.
The local committee met yesterday a(ternoon. Present — Messrs A. G. Hi»ncll (chair), G. Caiman, C. M. Crobswell, I. J. Denton. W. G. Bn»->ctl, V.irnry, and his Worship tho Mayor. MINUTES.— The minutes of the hist meeting were read and confirmed.
FINANCES. — The financial position was explained, and after discussion the chairman proposed, and the Mayor seconded, that Messrs Caiman and Cresswcll be authorised to expend not more than .4*45 in fitting up the Wanganui Court. — Carried.
ACCOUNTS.— The Mayor proposed that the secretary be instructed to write to exhibitors and request payment of all outstanding space accounts. — Tin"-, was seconded by Mr Basset!" and carried. NEW ZEALAND TOURIST.— It was decided to order 1000 copies of the forthcoming Wanganui edition of the NewZealand Tourist newspaper for free distri-. bution at the Wanganui Court, and thel secretary was instructed to write to the; Borough Council and oiler to undertake the distribution of the 2000 ordered by that body. The edition has been well supported locally, and will serve a most useful purpose in advertising the town. The Wanganui Court should be a very attractive one. 'All the exhibits have been forwarded, and quite, a number of exhibitors intend visiting Christchurch to arrange their displays.
