The clause of the Gaming Suppression Bill defining "place" and containing an exemption in favour of racecourses has been amended by the omission of the word "exemption." As the measure now stands betting is absolutely prohibited in Victoria. The clauses prohibiting newspapers publishing tips or betting were agreed to.
