State Debts.
LONDON, October 19. Tlie Financial Times, commenting on the proposal of the Commonwealth to take over the State debts, says that three per cent. Australian consols woie almost certainly more popular and marketable than any separate colony's security. The attempt at financial unification may form a test as to the stability of political unification.
