Lord Fitzroy covered a circuit, and spurted. Bmir has been retired from the turf. Collarit is reported to be lame. The, betting on the Caulfield Cup is almost confined to Solution at -4 to 1 and Poseidon at aj to 1. Both are strongly supported. Eight to one has been taken that they run hrst and second. Booran and Demas are firm at 10 to 1 each. Lord Fitzroy^ is at 25 to 1 and Willy Wally at 30 to 1, at which price he hah been backed.. Czarovitch is quoted at 14 to 1, and Simoda, Mira, Bairn, and Melodeon 20 to 1.
For the V.R.C. Derby the betting is 7 to 4 on Poseidon, 4 to 1 against Booran, 5 to 1 against Collar it, 7 to 1 against lolaire, and 10 to 1 Ebullition.
