CADET CAMPS.
(P«r United Press Association). WELLINGTON, October 18. A circular has been issued by the Education Department stating that the Government is prepared to give the usual facilities for the holding of a local Cadet battalion camp, viz., to grant free railway passes for a limited distance for battalions of not less than 200 in strength, to provide camp equipment, and to make an allowance of half the cost up to 4s 6d a head for all other expenses of a seven days' camp. Any Cadet camp at the Exhibition must be undertaken soly upon the responsibility of the parents, Cadet officers, School Committees, and Education Boards concerned. The Government will grant free rail and steamer fares at rates to be approved by the Department to any Cadet battalion of a minimum strength of 200 which decides to visit the Exhibition.
