To-morrow, at one o'clock. Mr. J. H Eeesing will see the furniture and effect* of Mr. Henderson at his residence, nextMr. Bruce's store, in St. Hill Street. Th» effects comprise a fine family waggonette, harness, saddles, etc. The furniture i» all nearly new. ■ -
On Monday Mr. J. H. Eeesing will hold an auction sale which should be of interest to hotel-keepers boardinghouee' keepers, and householders generally. A lot of household furniture, bought under bailment, is to be sold to meet the claim against them, and the highest bidden will be the purchasers. The articles are all as good as new. The sale will be held at No. 38, Wilson A glance at the advertisement will lead probably to our readers' advantage.
The Otago football representatives, who were taken by the Wanganui Rugby Union for a trip to Pipiriki, returned about 11 a.m. to-day. The visitors were accompanied by some officials of the Wanganui Union, and with such beautiful weather the trip was a most enjoyable one. The Otago men expressed themselves as charmed with the fine scenery, and also appreciated the kindness extended to them at Pipiriki. The team left for Dunedin by the mail train, and before their departure Messrs P. Priest and Cavanagh, of the Otago Rugby Union, on behalf of the team thanked the officials of the Wanganui Rugby Union for the splendid entertainmeat and hospitality accorded them during their visit here.
