BIG RAILROAD DEAL.
Press Association.— Telegraph .—Copyright. NEW YORK, September 19. Received September 20, 8.32 a.m. Mr C. H. Harriman, chairman of the Union Pacific Railway, with others, is negotiating for eight million sterling's worth of shares in the Baltimore-Ohio railroad, recently bought by Kuhn Loeb from the Pennsylvania Railroad Company. According to the New York Tribune the deal has been practically accomplished, enabling- Mr Harriman and Mr H. C. Friek to make the Union Pacific the first transcontinental road.
