Matilda Stanley, who was once organist at Hatfield House, hae been sentenced to six months at the Old Baik-y for publishing pamphlets alleging that Lady Gwendolin Cecil had a badv to the Rev. J. Edwards, the late Lord Salisbury's chaplain. The Judge, in passing sentence, remarked that the accusation was a most malicious and perfectly groundless libel, which amounted almost to blackmail.
