Mr. R. H. W. Bligh has held some successful meetings in Feilding. Our readers will no doubt note the report of the Tramway* Committee of the Borough Council, which appear* in aaother column. The report deals mainly with formal matters necessary for the obtaining of the Order-in-Council to coa6truct. One sentence requires a little explanation, viz., that stating the maximum fare at 2d a section. This does apt necessarily imply that that amount will be charged to passengers and is merely inserted in order to comply with a provision of the Act which requires the maximum fare to be stated. The 2d will leave the Council a margin to come and go on, in case of necessity, but there is little doubt that the section charge will not be raised above one penny.
