OTAGO v. WANGANUI.

The Otago-Waneanui representative match was being played on tho Recreation Ground this afternoon as we went to press. The weather was beautifully fine, and there was a large attendance of spectators. The Otago team which took the field was as follows: —

Full-back: J. Davidson

Three-quarters : J. Dwyer, R. Ongley, and F. Reid.

Fivo-eighths : A. Chambers and W.Dougherty. Half: A. Eckhold. Wing forward : G. Denniston. Forwards: — Front rank, S. Casey and D. Spiers; lock, H. Paton; supports, P. Fitzpatrick and L. Edwards; back, D. McKenzie and A. McDonald.

The Otago and Wanganui teams will be entertained by the Wanganui Union at dinner at 6.30 o'clock this evening at the Newmarket Hotel. The Wanganui Rugby Union for a trip to Pipiriki to-morrow morning by special boat, and will return on Thursday morning in time to catch the mail train south.
