Public Trust Clerk Sentenced

WELLINGTON, July 5.

Henry R. Oswin, who pleaded 1 guilty to tlie theft of j£4oo, moneys of the Publ?c Trust Office in which he was employed, was sentenced this morning to twelve months' imprisonment. It was stated that up to two years ago, when he got into financial difficulties and commenced to appropriate the money of tl'c Department, he had borne an excellent character. He had been in the service for 21 years.
