ADELAIDE, July 4.
Premier Price has got into hot water over the speech li« d^live-red at Mount Gambier in defending the Labour party against the charges contained in the circular issued by the women's branch of the Farmers' Political Association, charging Ihe party with seeking to weaken marriage, and stating that he would destroy familyjjfe. Premier Price used words to the effect that dirty birds were not to be found in the Labour party, but were found in the ladies' committee of Mount Gambier, who took such men to their homes. Replying to a request for an explanation from the President of the Association, Mr Price stated that he had no intention to cast a slur upon the character of any women, but to attack certain men belonging to the Association's side of politics. The President has now written that the explanation is unsatisfactory, and demanding a full apology, pending a meeting of the Association to consider further action.
