Press Association.— Telegraph.— Copyright. Received Juno 27, 10.27 a.m. •> - MELBOURNE, June 27. Mr Deak/n stages bliat a reply has been leteived in connection >vith the representations re the New Hebrides. It calls attention to the fact that the recent repiesenialioiis made on behalf of New Zealand and the Commonwealth have not yet been received in Britain. It is supposed, says Mr Deakin, that we have asked for certain alterations of the proposed agreement with France. That is •coricct. It is suggested that it would impede any endeavour to give effect to auch alterations if the Imperial Government wore called upon to publish the full text of the agreement. In these circumstances, ho did not propose to press for publication at present.
