The Court, whilst finding that the lights of the Energy were not burning brightly enough, and that tho deck hank in charge of the Energy failed to see the Electra, owing probably to his being asleep at hie pest, the result of being on duty for an unreasonably long time, exonerated th» captains of both the Electra and Energy in connection with the recent collision. Tho Court was strongly of opinion that the tugs should carry at least one certificated officer in addition to the master.

The owners of the Energy are claiming .£3OOO for the loss of the tug in the collision with the Electra, and the owners of the latter enter a counter-claim of J5750 for damage to the steamer.
