BIDDING BRISK AT TIMART.

The first wool sales of the season opened here last night, when 6000 bales were offered. Bradford, Continental, American, and colonial buyers were represented, Bidding was brisk, especially for wools fit for the American market, and good prices were obtained. Twclvcpenco three farthings was the. top price, this being paid for half-bred. The range of prices was as follows: — Half-bred, choice, 12d to 123 d; super, lid to ll^d; medium, 10U1 to lid; inferior, 9UI to lO^d; threequarter bred choice, ll£d to ll£d; super, 10} dto ll£d; medium, 9^d to 10.^1; fine crossbreds, lOd to 10 : |d; coarse, B.\d to 9{d; merino (only a few bales forward), 9d to 9Jd.
