COMPLETE DEFEAT OF MUTINEERS.

ST. PETERSBURG, December 1. Admiral Chukhnin has informed General Kuulbars that the mutineers on Tuesday night seized the torpedoer Svircpoy and three other vessels. All hoisted the red flag. Lieutenant Schmidt, aboard the Svirepoy, steamed along with the loyal Black Sea squadron, whose 'crews did not respond to tho rebel cheers. During the course of the morning the rebels seized all the unguarded small craft. Armed parties from the Otchakoff boarded the Pantaleimon, which was unarmed, removing the officers to the Otchakoff, Lieutenant Schmidt threatening to hang 1 them if the troops interfered. Admiral Chukhnin states : "We wore compelled to tolerate thiis, as tho fleet had been disarmed in view of the men's dangerous attitude. Seeing the activity of the mutineers increasing, tho authorities resolved to attack them. Tho field artillery in the afternoon iired on the rebel ships in the southern harbour. Lieutenant Schmidt lowered his rod flag and signalled: 'Have many capturod officers.' When the sloop full of mutineers was sunk the Otschakoff opened lire on the north shore battery, and the tihips whose breach blocks were restored replying, the Svirepoy attempted to attack tli<?> loyal ships, but experienced a. strong fire. The cruisers Kapitansaken, Pamyatamerkuvya, and the battleship Rotislaff and the Svirepoy and two other torpedoers wore put out of action. One was sunk. The Otchakoff fired six shots and then hoisted the white- flag, and the squadron ceased firing. A conflagration then commenced on the Otchakoff. Boats were sent to fetch the wounded, aud arrested Lieutenant Schmidt, who was dressed as a common sailor.

Admiral Chukhnin's report continued: Fearing an explosion, the Chukhnin sank a mining transport tug which had 300 torpedoes aboard. Tho Otchakoff is floating, but is gutted. Captain Slavotschinski, of the 7th Naval Corps, was killed. The field artillery bombarded the naval barracks at Sevastopol, which replied. During the night 1500, chiefly reservists, with nine quick-firers, opposed the Brest regiment, which occupied the barracks early on Thursday. A torpedoer which it was believed had sunk was found ashore.

Colonel Dumbadoo appealed to the Brest regiment to wipe out the stain of the recent insubordination by storming the naval barracks. Tho regiment, with cheers obeyed, capturing? 2000 mutineers. The Czar has telegraphed, forgiving the regiment.
