THE Annual Entertainment of the District High School will be given in the Opera House on MONDAY and TUES- | DAY, 18th and 19th December. The Entertainment this year will take the form of a SCHOOL OPERA; entitled, "THE LADY OF THE LAKE," and consists of Solos, Choruses, Dialogues, 1 Marching, and Highland Dancing. The beautiful and picturesque costume of the Scottish Highlands will be a prominent feature. Proceeds to go for prizes and to provide FREE BOOKS and STATIONERY ac far as it will go. AN Appropriation by Ballot of .£3OO, in two sums of .£l5O each, will be held at the Society's Offices, Ridgway Street, Wanganui, on FRIDAY, the Bth day of December, 1905, at .8 p.m. The attention of members is drawn to Rule No. 102, which requires them to make themselves clear on the Society's books on or before the pay night on MONDAY, the 4th December. It is particularly notified that no arrears of subscriptions will, on any account, be received after the pay night preceding the Ballot (4th inst.).
