Sir, — Could you through your columns tell me how long was it that Mr Ha&elden occupied a seat in that House, and if he was returned to the 'House more than once? He is not backward iv making reference to his unfruitful Parliamentary career. That of course is only natural. What I and a good many more would like to know is whether we should be expected, to support one who would not be tolerated in a neighbouring electorate against a prominent business man of some thirty years' standing who h.is gi\en the whole of his life in helping to make our tow a what it is 10-day? — I am. etc..
