For the sscond day's racing the weather is fine, but windy. Ihe course is in fair order, and the attendance good. Results: —

York Shakes. — Dolamore 1, Gaw3in 2, Stronghold 3. All started. Time, liniu 20isec. Won easily. ( .Divid-ends, £6 and ,£1 2s. Nikau Hack Handicap.— Mereshot 1, Tautoru 2, Flotilla 3. Time, lmin 36 2-s?ec. Scratched: Pretty Maid, Bourrasque, and Probability. Dulcinea was left at Uic post. Warnanehu led to the straight. Won by d length and a half. Dividends, £7 6s and £2 i2s.

Manchester Handicap. — Armistice 1. Submarine 2, St. Jre 3. Time, 2min 17 2-s;ec. Scratched: Flamon and Tikirawa. Very close finish. Armistice led into the straight. Dividends, .£6 2s and £4 4s. Cl-eltenham Hurdles.— Pushful 1, Ecpulse 2, Kohunui 3. Timo, -^rnin H2sec. Scratched: Lady's link. Valima fell at tho first hurdle. Repuleo led to the straight, but in the List furlong Pushful was leadinsr. and won by two lengths". F. Miller, Valima's jockey, was injured.
