A Denial.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir,— lt has come to my- knowledge that the statement is being industriously circulated throughout the colony that at a meeting at St. .Andrew's I. stated that the New Zealand holels are houses of illfame. 1 have never made any such statement, or inferred anything so monstrous. In thirty-one* years 1 have heard of only .two New Zealand hotels being immorally .conducted. — I am, etc.. ! - LEONARD M. ISITT.
