Mr J. T. Hogan at Mars Hill.

Mr J. T. Hogan spoke to a good audience at Mais Hill on Saturday evening, Mr P. Me William being in the chaii. Mr Hogan gave an emphatic contradiction l:> the rumour that, if elected, he would join the New Liberals, and said, that though Jie admired some planks in their platform, they had made too many mistakes for him to follow, and he would support the present Government and help it to continue in office. Mr Hogan spoke at considerable length in tavour of the leasehold, and in referring to the Liberal split. j>ointed out that he was the first Liberal candidate to announce himself, and could not be blamed for the present stats of things. He did not approve of any nomination by tho Premier, and declared his intention of going through with the contest. Mr Hogan, who was frequently applauded during his address, received a vole of thanko and confidence.

Mr Hogan addressed the electors of ilosstowu this evening and those of Eastown tomorow evening, and Sedgebrook on Wednesday evening. His Eastown and Sedgebrook Committees meet at his house this evening, and the Castlecliff Committee at Castlecliff. The Mosetown Committee meets on Wedrito3day evening, and the Ladies' Committee meats at the Commit-t-ce rooms on Tlmrsday afternoon at 2.30. Brunswick electors will please not that Mr Hogan will be unable to visit Brunswick again to address. . the electors there. Mr T. B. Williams will address the electors in the Opera H^use this (Monday) evening. The chair will be taken by Mr J. H. Keesing at 8 o'clock. The dress circle will be reserved for ladies and their escorts.

Mr Willis's \ election committees for Wanganui and Aramoho will kindly meet as per advertisement. All friends of the party desirous of securing the return of Mr Willis are kindly invited to be present.
