STEAND COMEDY COMPANY. "THE J.P."

The return to farcical comedy, which the appearance of the Strand Theatre Company will chronicle in Wanganui at the Opera House on Saturday next should prove a welcome change' to Wanganui theatre-goers. The company opens in "The J.P." Additional interest is lent to the performance by the fact that two London Gaiety "stars" are amongst the principals. Both Mr J. J. Dallas and Mis 3 Florence Lloyd have gained a reputation on the English stage in opera, musical comedy, pantomime-, and comedy. Mr Dallas, as a comedian, is regarded to have few rivals. Miss Florence Lloyd played the sam-9 part as she will assume in the production of "The J.P." hero that she appeared in during the comedy's phenorf itally successful run of six hundred nights at the Strand Theatre, London. All the members of the company have been ch<\ c ?n particularly for their adaptability to the forthcoming production. The plans for the two nights of the season are announced to open to-morrow morning afe 10 o'clock at Messrs H. I. Jones and Son's.
