SCRATCHING. (Per United Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, August 26. Patronus was scratched for the New Zealand Cup at 11.10 a.m. to-day.

In the Hunt Club Cup Mr P. Neagle, who was riding hi 3 own horsa, Cairo, sustained a broken collarbone when his mount fell at the back of the course. Valuable aid was rendered both of the sufferers by the ambulance corps under Hon. Surgeons Drs. Tripe and Graham who were in attendance.
