Rich Gold-bearing Stone.

Excitement at Auckland

(Per United Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Augst 6.

There was excitement on the Exchange this morning in consequence of rich stone from the Number 5 level of theWaiotahi, Thajnes, mine. The gold-bearing stone exhibited here is the richest seen here for many years, and is very similar to stons obtained from the famous Caledonian lode. Shares quoted yesterday morning at 50b are' now worth about 745, representing i>37 (?) for the original share, which was recently multiplied by ten for market purposes.
