NEW YORK, August 25. Pierpont Morgan secured the dismissal of Elwell, the curator of the Art Museum in New York, for consigning to the lumber room a bronze statute of Cains Vibius Gallus, on the ground that it was worthless, though it cost Morgan .£IO,OOO. The newspapers condemn Morgan for using his influence to enforce the acceptance of a questionable article. '
