WANGANUI v. EASTOWN.
An Association tournament match was played last evening in the Wanganui Club Rooms between" the Senior Club and Eastown. The latter club was not fully represented and consequently did nofniake as good a showing as it otherwise would have done, but it posses' some sound exponents of the game, who should help in the development of the game of draughts in Wenganui very materially. The scores •were, as follows: — Smith (Wanganui) 4 v. W. Glasgow (Eastown) 0; McCosh 1 v. •E. Piper 2; P. Keegan 3 v. P.~ Anderson 0; r G. Brown Iv. D. Williamson 0; D. Earles 2 v. C. Parker, junr.,o; J. Richardson 4 v. R. Parker 0; W. Austin 3 v. E. K. Sly 1; C. Walker 0 v. J. Dempsey 2; Hon. J. Bryce 0 v. S. Phillips 4; W. Armstrong, Watt, and Thorpe (Wanganui) each. 4 games by forfeit. Totals— Wanganui 30; Eastown 9." - ' . ,"
