An Ambitious Programme.

(Per United Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, August 23. At. a meeting of the Executive of the International Exhibition the Chairman stated he was more hopeful . of the ultimate success of the undertaking than he was two or three months ago. The main building, which will be ready soon, is to consist of two storeys and to be 850 feet' long and 90 feet wide, "with two towers each 20 feet high. The Premier is to be asked to arrange, through recognised Cliauuelß> for attendance at the opening ceremonies of a member of the Royal Family, delegations from European nations, and representatives of the British colonies. ' ' The Government intend providing an organ at a cost of ,£2OOO, which, after the Exhibition, will be presented to the citizens. In all about twenty reports from sectional committees were dealt with.
