A Stiff Fine
For Employing an lncompt.tar.t Hand without a Permit.
(I'er United Press Association.) DUNEDIN, August 29. At the Arbitration Court Albert Caddie was fined 10s and expenses, aud Mr J. Cooper <£30 and expenses, for breach of award. The facts were that Cooper employed Caddie as an incompetent workman after three years in the carpentering trade, without paying him the proper rate of wo.g-es, or getting- a permit;.
