Johnson, the live bootman from Sydney, intends having a clean sweep of the whole stock ho now carries, together with some enormous shipments of clean fresh goods that aro daily arriving. These goods have Loen bought at such prices that even the boot expert can only exclaim "How can they bs made for tho money?" This question the public are not asked to solve, but there is no doubt that an opportunity like this of purchasing up-to-date footwear at down-to-date prices is one that seldom occurs. Sales are, a thing of the' past, the public are now too well educated to be attracted by a display of cheap printing and the goods at the same prices as usual. Messrs Young and Collins have mad? a special display of saddles for the Hunt Club Meeting. 'Sporting enthusiasts, visitors, and others will have an opportunity of viewing: these goods to-night, as the firm are holding a gaslight display. Saddles of every description are on exhibit, including several samples of the lightest racing saddles made, which are imported by the firm from Messrs 4 Boyce and Rogers, and Merry and Co., London, makers to the King. Among others arc to be seen white buckskin, all-over hogskin, and all-over kangaroo saddles, truly fine specimens of the saddlers' art. There is also on show what is at present a novelty, viz., a lady's astride saddle, which should command special attention. It is built with very deep and wide flaps, is most comfortable, and keeps the lady's skirt in position, and enables her to display it to advantage. These, we were informed, are quite, superseding the sidesaddles, which ha,ye been in vogue so many years. A splendid assortment of English hunting saddles fill the bill, and comprise one of the finest selections of saddlery ware exhibited here. ,
