PATEA NOTES.
— . o (From Our Own correspondent.) PATEA, August 22. To-morrow s (Wednesday) evening, the members of the Masonic fraternity are holding a social in their hall. The evening ing is -to take- the form of a concert and dance, to which, a very large number of invitations have been issued.
On Friday evening next the annual dance of the Patea Football .Club is to be held. The committee 7 entrusted with the management of affairs has left no stone unturned to make the. gathering a perfect success. A great number of tickets have been sold. ■* i .The monthly meeting of the directors of the Whenuakura Cooperative ' Dairying Company was held to-day. After the usual routine business had been disposed with the question of the disposal of the coming season's output was considered- at length, and when the would-be buyers attended before the directors in the afternoon, there was no waste of time, as the directors had everything at their fingers' ends. The offer of Messrs Lovell and Christmas at 9£d without recourse was.accepted. At a meeting of the directors of the Kakaramea Co-operative Dairying Company to-day, the offer of Messrs Lovell and Christmas, .at 9sd without recourse, was accepted. This is the fifth consecutive year that this firm has secured the output irom the Kakaramea factory. . Mr J. K. Mitchell has been appointed auditor to the-'W.henuakura Co-operative Company; in place of Mr Homer, who has resigned. - * - " \- '" : - \
