AUCKLAND v. WANGANUI.

The above match, which is to be played on the Recreation Ground next Tuesday, is being looked forward to with a great amount of interest. The Aucklariders, who play Taranaki at New Plymouth tomorrow, are to meet Wellington on Saturday next in a Ranfurly Shield match. Should the Northerners carry off the Shield, it will invest the Wanganui match with even irioro interest. The local team ■ to meet Auckland will be stronger than that which defeated Hawke's Bay last Saturday, as R. Mitchell will be included, and there can be no doubt that his inclusion will strengthen the back division a lot. Anslow had his back ricked last Saturday, but it is hoped he will be able to don tiie jersay against the redoubtable visitors. It is probable that R. McGregor will be able to take his place iv the team ' again, and this will enable Green to be played in the pack, where he does such excellent work. A practice is to be held to-night in the training hall on the Quay, and it is imperative that all who possibly 4 can should attend, as it is absolutely necessary for everyone to train hard if Wanganui is to have any chance of success. Providing the players are able to "show their best form next Tuesday, there i 3 no reason whatever why they should not have a winning chance, but'they must be prepared to play with much more vim and dash than they exhibited last Saturday. That they "can do this is certain, and it behoves them to put in a week's solid training, with as much practice together as possible.
