The Maroro Golf Club played the 4th bogey matqh of the present . season on Saturday last which resulted as follows: — Seniors. — H. Dodgshun 4 down, G. Gordon 6 down, F. Beaven 9 down, A. Johns 112 down, D. H. McKay 12 down, A. l" Howarth 6 down, F. C. Stevenson sldown, F. 8,. Parkes 8 down, W. Gordon 6 down, W. H. McLean 3 down, H. P. Lewis 1 up, the latter winning the senior button. Juniors..— E. M. Silk 1 down, Dymock 3 down, J. Inkster 6 down, Yarney 1 up, J. Ball. 4 dovfjx, Quigley. 4 down, Gibbons 8 down, P. Mcßrearty, ai* square, D. Miller Vup\ the latter being the winner. *, Entries for the Club championship (to be played next Saturday, 26th. in3t.) close on Tlmrsday next, 24th inst. It is probable that a match between the Waverley and Patea Clubs, will be played on Saturday on, the Patea links. An attempt is being made to arrange a match between Patea and Wanganui Club. Saturday, September 2nd, has been prdposed at the date. The Waverley and Hawera Ladies' Golf Clubs play a match at Hawera on Tuesday next. _ ;
