BUSINESS NOTES.

In the grey hours of. dawn this morning Mr J. J. Buckrell and his staff commenced the work of removing their stock into the new premises just below the Fountain, and by noon the fine new shop was stocked and the staff ready for business. Of necessity the goods were not shown to advantage and there was some little confusion. For this Mr Buckrell apologises to those of his customers who , were inconvenienced, and asks their indulgence until he has had time to re-arrange the stock. This work will be pushed on as expeditiously as possible and in. a day or two the new snow will be in,perfect order.

Messrs Williams and Harper will sell by public . auction at the rooms ■ to-morrow (Wednesday) at 1 p.m., on' account of Messrs W. T. Benefield and Sons, the finest assortment of trees and- shrubs ever offered in Wanganui. The" fruit trees are all true to name and of. the finest varieties and well grown. There will also be a splendid variety of flowering and ornamental trees and shrubs, also hedge, plants, roses, azaleas, daphnes, and many other lines. The fact that Mr Benefield has been catering for the requirements of the district for over a quarter of .a century is a sufficient guarantee as/to th« quality. . , -
