',; The return hockey match between teams selected frcm the- Ladies' Clubs of Maxwelltown and Patea, was played at 'Waver-* ley on Saturday afternoon last, and resultod'Viii' a "wia* for 'the 'Maxwell' ladies by two goals to nil. The pldy was of a very '?-ven nature throughout, and during the first- spoil .. no ' score was ' registered. Tlie condition of the players was ' brought to view in' tho second spell' and it was evident that the local players • were in nothing like the trim of their opponents! A .little more combined practice, and the l-o cal, team will bo able to bring back tho ash.es.- Mr J. ■■ Malone acted as referee, and gave great satisfaction. • ■
