RICCARTON TRAINING NOTES.

CHEISTCHTmCH, August 14.

Ideal weather prevailed for the final galloping at Riccarton. Phactonitis, in fine fettle, did two circuits at half-speed. Kremlin defeated Tirole by four lengths over five furlongs, being fully extended at the finish. Shrapnel Shell and Hydrant ran a mile, fully extended at the finish. Exmoor strode well over 6' furlongs. Kiatere did a mile and a half at three-quar-ters speed. Comfort and Creusot strongly ran a mile. Romeo and Waiwera did half to three-quarters pacing over two circuits. Tho rest of the horses were given sprinting tasks.
