THE CHURCHES.
The Eev. J. Qlphert, of Feilding; will preach to-morrow, both morning and evening, in Dijblin Street Primitive Methodist Church. Mr A. Vainey will conduct the service at Sedgebrook. ■On Sunday evening the Eev. E. M. Ryburn, M.A., will continue his series of lectures on "Revelation." A cordial . invitation is_ given to all. "Despise^h thou the goodness and eeveriby of God?" forms the subject of an address to " be delivered- in' tire " Druids'' Hall, Bell Street, at 7 o'clock to-morrow evening. Seats free. No collection. At the Trinity Wesleyan Church to-mor-row both the services ' will be conducted by the Eev. J. R. Flynn. Anderson, of the Soiith African Government railways mission. At the evening service Mr Anderson will deliver a special address on the subject "Nearly' a Hero." Young men. should not miss- hearing this address. - Special music by the choir. •• At the Baptist Church to-morrow night the Rev. A. Dewdney w_ill_. conclude his serios. of "Plain Talks on •P~uzzling Probleriis." His subject will " be - "Ijs 1 tHerea" Better?" "and 'he will endeavour to show that Jesus Christ can answer more questions, satisfy more aspirations, respond to more necessities, and supply • better motives for service than any other. The anniversary services in connection with the Church of Christ Sunday School will commence to-morrow. ' A tea and" entertainment will be' held on. Thursday next at -6.30.
The . Spiritual" Scientists hold a special service- in the Fire Brigade Hall on Sunday evening at 7 o'clock, • when MrC. t M. Roberts and Mr W. -C.- Nation will occupy the platform. Mr -Nation .will - give si special addresg on "The G-reat Question o£ Spiritualism."' Questions are 'invited at the close of the -meeting. Mr Nation, -who has been an investigator and advocate of spiritualism for 1 many yearn,- having had many and interesting expediences, will deal with his • subject from a • scriptural standpoint. He is also editor of the wide-ly-read magazine "The Message- -of Life." Special musical items will be given, and doubtless a large crowd will gather to hear Mr Nation 3 who is widely known as an able exponent of his subject.
