LONDON, August U. A fresh wind was blowing when the game resumed, and the wicket was a drying one. Noble and Darling added 5 to the previous day's total when Darling was dismissed by a catch by Bosanquet. Tarrant went on to bowl and Noble was stumped off his first ball. He had compiled his 68 in two hours in faultless style, and hit eleven fourers. — 6 wickets, for 167. McLeod contributed 18. Layer failed to score, the 7th and Bth wickets going at 197. Duffed batted an hour before being stumped. — 9 for 215. The last pair, Kelly and Cotter, livened up the game considerably, adding runs in quick time, until Kelly got out leg before to Trott, the- innings closing for 261.
